Everything you need to know before attending a Donor Tour

Admission & Donations Are Separate.

Admission Payments
  • Admission helps cover transportation, hospitality, coordination, production, and event operations.
  • Admission is paid to OneCity to produce the experience.
Direct Donations
  • Donations are separate from admission.
  • Participants may choose to donate directly to the featured nonprofit during or after the experience.
Our Direct Donation Policy
  • OneCity does not take a percentage of charitable donations.
  • OneCity does not redistribute charitable donations.
  • Donations are made directly to the participating nonprofit organization.
Why We Do It This Way
  • We believe donors should know exactly where their support is going.
  • This creates transparency, trust, and a direct relationship between participants and the organizations they choose to support.
  • General admission covers transportation, hospitality, coordination, and participation in the experience.
  • Every participant will have an opportunity to support the featured organization directly, but donations are always optional.
  • OneCity does not collect or retain charitable donations. All donations go directly to the participating nonprofit organization.

  • The site visit, activities, and volunteer participation typically take about four hours.
  • Transportation, hospitality, meals, and community gatherings may add an additional two to three hours depending on the experience.
  • Each experience includes a detailed itinerary before registration.
Refunds
  • Reservations canceled more than 30 days before an experience receive a 100% refund. Reservations canceled 15–29 days before an experience receive a 75% refund. Reservations canceled within 14 days of an experience become final and non-refundable.
Reservation Changes
  • Reservations are associated with a specific experience and may not be transferred, resold, or reassigned without prior written approval from Donor Tours.
Experience Changes
  • Occasionally weather conditions, nonprofit needs, venue availability, transportation logistics, safety considerations, or other operational requirements may require adjustments to an experience. Participants will be notified of material changes whenever practical.
If We Cancel
  • If Donor Tours cancels an experience, participants will receive a 100% refund of all amounts paid directly to Donor Tours.

  • Organizations are selected through a review process that considers mission alignment, community impact, leadership participation, and experience readiness.

  • We intentionally keep participation limited to organizations that are prepared to host meaningful, behind-the-scenes experiences for the public.

  • Capacity is intentionally limited to preserve the quality of the experience.

  • Participants may join a waitlist and will be notified when additional seats become available.

  • Qualified nonprofit organizations may apply to become Mission Partners.
  • Organizations interested in participating should complete the referral or inquiry form to begin the conversation.
  • Donations are made directly to participating nonprofit organizations.

  • Tax deductibility depends on the receiving organization’s charitable status and applicable regulations.

  • Many participants continue supporting causes through volunteering, fundraising campaigns, sponsorships, recurring donations, advocacy, or future experiences.
  • The goal is not simply attendance.
  • The goal is ongoing participation.
